Punishing Reason
The insane attack on our sensibilities and our Liberty
As we move to year three in the United States in dealing with this pandemic and navigating our way through the absurd public policies that have followed, I’d like to share my own personal assessment of this attack on our sensibilities.
There is no denying we have been dealing with an unprecedented virus that has swept throughout the entire world, causing death and health issues all over. However, the institutional madness that followed may even be of graver concern and an end to Western Civilization as we know it. From the start of the pandemic, many reasonable people have tried to decipher the myriad of decisions made by public health officials, governments, businesses, and social networks. Those efforts at reasonable discussion were met with a forceful fist. The very institution of the press, whose most sacred trust is the public trust, has violated our trust. Our miserable excuse for media and news has quashed any real discourse and honest debate; they have double-downed with an inexcusable barrage of coverups, disinformation campaigns, and outright attacks on solid reasoning. Most elected officials and public health messengers have echoed this madness. The narrative is wrought with authoritarian dictates, arrogant deceit, and the senseless bludgeoning of anyone who may stand up and point out their utter insanity. We have suffered demented accusations and ill-conceived punishments on a federal level by an incompetent President and the layers of bureaucratical miscreants within his administration. Never in the history of America has there been such an internal disregard for Liberty and a disdain for those wanting to defend it by those who they themselves have sworn an oath to protect it. They are, with the virus as their platform, taking down the greatest nation ever conceived.
From the onset, those on the take and faithful only to the almighty dollar, made sure to batter anyone who disagreed with the inane policy of widespread lockdowns and a dragnet approach to “super-spread” prevention. The dishonesty of the pay for play political actors who claim to be scientists and health care experts is clear to those of us paying attention. Immediately, there was an outright attack on reason and a coordinated effort to convince the public that we are all going to die if we don’t faithfully execute their demands. We were to lockdown, mask up, distance ourselves, stop living, stop working, take the needle and obey. The central planners had it all under control and we were to shut up and put up with this evil form of “patriotism”. We were “in this together” they said, and by God, if you did not comply, you were part of the problem. Invoking the most hypocritical double-standards and draconian measures, those with hands on the levers of power were going to hermetically seal society and keep us safe. Tyrants, both large and small were ever-present, corralling us into their own brand of dystopia. They made sure to leave no room for dissent. Pit brother against brother, friend against friend, and sprinkle it with seeds of societal distrust. These engineers of evil have turned us into a national horror show not seen since the rise of the Third Reich.
So, what was so horrible those “dissenters” said? Well, I for one, consistently sought out more data and information. How can we make reasonable decisions without that? I guess I was naïve enough to think we, as individuals, were still in control of our own lives and were left to make these types of decisions on our own. Let us reason together, you know. The virus was homing in on the elderly and those with major health problems, so maybe prudent public policy would be to focus our resources on protecting them from the ravages of the virus. Immunotherapies and other preventative measures should be of first course so that severity is kept in check. Meanwhile, an anti-viral drug specifically tailored to this strain should be developed and openly available to those in need. The messaging at that point should have been one of encouraging the public to follow common sense protocols to reduce the spread and that the best defense is a healthy lifestyle. If you happen to fall prey to the virus, early treatment and care should be our goal for them. As with all viruses, there will be tragic consequences and unplanned deaths. It is the course of nature and no matter how much we would wish to avoid them, there are things beyond our control. Sensible people would know that if they feel sick, do not mingle with others. Stay home, get plenty of fluids, plenty of rest and monitor your health in case you need medical attention. Meanwhile, do not panic and continue to live your life as you see fit. Very early on it was evident that there was no cause for mass hysteria. There were no bodies lying in the streets dying from this virus. Let’s use our heads, keep our senses, and more importantly, not blame one another. Sending the message that all are possible carriers and potential threats to others is not in the public’s best interest.
Our governments should have been more focused on the actual origination of this strain. The institutional knowledge already existed within the halls of power. You see, there was historical evidence of tinkering going on with the coronavirus for decades in labs around the world. Genetic testing and manipulation had been happening in them for many years on just this type of virus; many prominent figures within our own health industry were a part of it. Double that with the fact the lab in question had a history of dubious protocols, foreign relation issues, human rights violations, tampering and hiding of evidence along with possible evil motives. These all are big red flags and demand investigation and accountability. Yet, these real issues have not been allowed to be a part of the national discourse. My question is why not? If we do not confront these real questions and pursue true justice in this matter, it will only happen again.
So, here we are over two years later and what is the new message? The message is to keep taking doses of an experimental drug that has efficacy problems, keep masking up even though that doesn’t slow the spread, pay no attention to how the vaccinated are still getting sick and going into hospitals at an equal or even higher rate than the unvaccinated, forget that newer strains and mutations keep popping up and we really don’t know why, dismiss the fact that the latest strain is not deadly and could actually be helpful in creating greater immunity, turn on anyone who disagrees with this administration and….and…and…….just keep doing what our central planners tell you to do! Inject this experimental concoction into your body and curse you if you don’t! You are the problem they say. They maintain the same failed policies and the one-size-fits-all strategy with no room for innovation, choice or competition. The most surprising part in all of this to me is how, even with the years of historical facts on all these useless measures, many still go along with this repeated insanity and do not consider how wrong they have been. Worse yet is the psychological damage we are doing to many, especially our youth. May God help our posterity. We have betrayed the very things, those American principles, and fundamental truths, that have boosted this nation to prominence. My friends, we have been part of a global gaslighting effort meant to keep the boot of tyranny on our necks; you see, you are the enemy. You, the rubes who believe in Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, must be dealt with harshly so that those in power may make way for a new world hierarchy.
In Liberty,
Ray
