Over the years, I have heard many conversations about the imminent demise of America. These fatalistic words have come from many people with different ideological viewpoints.

Before examining these different viewpoints, I hope my audience understands the gravity of the current situation in America. It pains me to even feel the need to write about these things, but here we are. There are certain ideas that should be a part of every American’s DNA but are being erased. We are at a juncture where concepts like free agency and self-determination are no longer the norm. Informed consent, especially when it comes to your health and wellbeing, is being challenged. Due process and equal justice do not apply, especially if you have viewpoints that are in line with the principles of Liberty. In other words, the real criminals are running loose and holding the keys to the prison gates. The Bill of Rights has been turned on its head. We no longer properly teach our youth what our rights are or the proper role of government. Our inherent rights have become permissions and only certain groups are allowed any. Our federal government has become the ultimate arbiter of truth and decides who has rights and who doesn’t. We can no longer say our rights come from God and that government was instituted by the consent of the governed to protect those rights without being called extremists. Gaslighting those who believe these foundational truths has become the new American pastime. Morality and decency have been tossed out the window. Mob rule and ideological orthodoxy have replaced our republican form of government. Freedom of speech and conscience? Fuhgeddaboudit! America is rapidly heading towards the tyranny it was designed to overcome. And because of this internal chaos, we have become an easy target for external forces wishing to destroy us.
